Every year, since my children were small,
whenever we visited my mum's house,
we would take a detour on the way home,
and drive by this house to look at the
wonderful display of lights
they've used to decorate the front of their home.

We've yet to be disappointed by the sight
that greets us as we round the bend.
The house always look magical,
and this year was no exception.

We're not the only ones who do this,
judging by the amount of cars full of people
that park up and take photos.
The looks on the faces of the small children
is a warming sight to see.

The only disappointment this year was,
the neighbours house front wasn't
decorated as it usually is.
Maybe there are new people living there
who aren't into decorating the front of
their house in such a way.
Which is a shame,
as the two of them next to each other,
used to be an amazing sight.
