Candleight & Rosepetals

Over a romantic meal
lit by candlelight
air fragranced with roses
their love for each other
they did finally reveal.

For months they'd denied
the feelings they shared
"It'll never work
this long distance thing"
they both had cried.

The time eventually came
when they had to admit
what their friends already knew
They were meant for each other
now life would never be the same.

There would be sadness and joy
throughout their journey
lots of travel by plane & train
but it would all be worth it
when the girl again sees her boy.

There is no guarantee
that this tale will end with a
"and they lived happily ever after"
no matter how many rosepetal
and candlelight meals there may be.

Only time will tell
if the future together
happily they will spend
All we can really do is
wish them both well.
